Cylinder Silk Lampshades – Gray Open Weave Linen

The Cylinder Silk lampshade is a longer variation of the classic Drum style lampshade. Like the Silk Drum lampshade, the Silk Cylinder lampshade appears to have equally sized openings at the top and the bottom, but typically, the diameter of the opening at the top of the cylinder lampshade is an inch to two inches smaller than the diameter of the lampshade at the bottom; reason being that when we make a “True Drum” lampshade, meaning the top and bottom ring diameters are the same, the top of the lampshade actually looks larger than the bottom of the lampshade. The Silk Cylinder lampshade style is a classic, and reminds us of the lamp and lampshade styles of the 50’s and 60’s – the “retro 50’s” style that has re-emerged in recent years. The Silk Cylinder lampshade is longer by 2″-4”, as compared to the same sized standard Silk Drum lampshade.
