The Deep Hexagon Silk Empire lampshade is a variation on the Hexagon Silk Bell lampshade – one of the classic lampshade styles. Like the Hexagon Silk Bell, the Deep Hexagon Silk Empire lampshade has six equal sides. Unlike the Hexagon Silk Bell lampshade, the Deep Hexagon Silk Empire lampshade is much longer than the standard Hexagon Silk Bell – generally 4-5″, and the Deep Hexagon Silk Empire is characterized by straight lines from the top to the bottom of the lampshade. The Deep Hexagon Silk Empire lampshade is only available in medium to large sizes, and, therefore, is used most often on very large table lamps, many with six-sided bases, or on tall brass or bronze candlestick lamps. The Deep Hexagon Silk Empire lampshade can also be used as an interesting alternative to a Deep Silk Empire lampshade on a wide range of floor lamps. Typically, the Deep Hexagon Silk Empire lampshade is used in traditional settings, but it’s availability in a wide range of fabrics – linens, cottons, and other patterns – has expanded its ability to add interest in a wider range of decors.
