Oval Lampshades

The oval lampshade shape is a closed circular form in which the width of the lampshade is greater than the depth of the lampshade. While the general shape prevails, the oval lampshade styles include ones that are shorter, taller, and more narrow or wider at the top. The hardback oval lampshade is constructed using a top ring and a bottom ring and the fabric is laminated to a hard plastic liner. The silk oval lampshades are made on a “frame” which consists of a set of inter-connected wires. The round top ring is attached to the round bottom ring by a series of vertical wires – which define the shape or style of the lampshade.
