Rectangle Lampshades
All rectangular lampshade shapes are characterized by two longer sides and two shorter sides; the length is greater than the depth of the lampshade. However, within the general rectangular shape, there are a wide range of stylistic choices from round corners, to sharp corners to cut corners; small openings at the top to large openings, and bells to slight curves. The hardback rectangle lampshade is constructed using a top ring and a bottom ring and the fabric is laminated to a hard plastic liner. The silk rectangle lampshades are made on a “frame” which consists of a set of inter-connected wires. The round top ring is attached to the round bottom ring by a series of vertical wires – which define the shape or style of the lampshade.
