Square Lampshades

While square shaped lampshades are characterized by four equal sides, there are many variations to the general shape. Square lampshades can have straight sides or curved sides, small, medium or large openings at the top, pointed corners or cut corners, flat shapes with short vertical heights to tall shapes with greater height. The hardback square lampshade is constructed using a top ring and a bottom ring and the fabric is laminated to a hard plastic liner. The silk square lampshades are made on a “frame” which consists of a set of inter-connected wires. The round top ring is attached to the round bottom ring by a series of vertical wires – which define the shape or style of the lampshade.
