General Information about our Concord Historical Sites Lampshades:

  • Our Concord Historical Sites Lampshades are all designed using original artwork. Capturing the sites most familiar to the Revolutionary War – The Old North Bridge, The Minuteman Statue, The Colonial Inn and the Wright Tavern; the Old Manse – considered the birthplace of American Literature and Philosophy and finally, Henry David Thoreau’s Walden Pond. We make these lampshades in our store in Concord, MA.
  • The hexagonal lampshade is designed with six equally sized panels. The top and bottom diameters of the “hex” shade are measured from point to point, not from side to side.
  • The” fitter” is the part of the lampshade which allows the lampshade to attach or “’fit” onto the lamp. The 10″ hexagonal lampshade is available with a clip that attaches around the lightbulb. The 11″ hexagonal lampshade and the 12″-WA lampshades are available with a “washer” fitter. The washer fitter is designed to sit on top of a harp; the harp is the oval shaped metal wire that attaches below the socket and arches over the socket. A threaded Uno fitter is designed to screw onto the bottom of an UNO socket. A complete explanation of fitters is available in an article What is a Lampshade Fitter?
  • You may select any of the six Concord Historical sites, or, you may choose three of the historical sites, and your shade will be designed with the original artwork on every other panel. If you have any questions, give us a call at 978.369.3000 or, send us an email.
