Kitchen Island Lighting

One of the primary objectives of Kitchen Island lights is to provide task lighting above the island workspace; another objective is to provide general or ambient light to the island and larger kitchen area. Linear light fixtures, pendants and mini-pendants are some of the most popular options – particularly those with the lights oriented downward in a metal enclosure, if the objective is task lighting. If the objective is to provide ambient lighting, the fixture may have a more open design – either glass or fabric – so that the light can emenate from all sides of the fixture.
